Laminate is a durable, easy to install, and cost-effective floor covering that looks like hardwood or stone on the surface, but is actually not made from either of these two materials. Many people assume that it’s made of plastic, due to its appearance and affordability, but this is another common misconception.
When shopping for hardwood flooring, one of the first things that you realize is that there are two types of wood: engineered and solid wood. Both options add beauty, value, and structure to your home, plus they come in a wide range of species, styles, and stains to suit any application or personal preferences.
Luxury vinyl floors are a great option for homeowners looking for an attractive, cheaper, durable, and long-lasting alternative to traditional hardwood floors. But WPC (wood plastic composite) vinyl floors are superior in every aspect, plus they’re 100% waterproof.

A kitchen remodel is one of the most common home improvement projects. It is a great way to update and personalize the space or increase the resale value of your home and make it more attractive to prospective buyers.
But fully renovating your kitchen is a major undertaking that requires professional assistance. But if you wish to do-it-yourself, it is important that you follow all the steps, in the right order, to ensure that the final outcome matches your intended design.
A common dilemma for most DIYers is whether to install the cabinets or flooring first. So which approach should you use?
Hardwood floors bring warmth and natural beauty to your space. And with proper care, you can enjoy their comfort and elegance for decades to come. But even with their durability, hardwood floors are harder to keep intact than you may think.
Hardwood floors are warm, natural, comfortable, stylish, timeless, and extremely durable. These are some of the reasons why homeowners and contractors love them compared to the many look-alikes on the market, such as engineered wood planks, porcelain tile that resembles wood, and so on.
Whether you are looking to install new hardwood flooring or refresh its look, you need to consider the type of finish and stain colors that suit your home best. Staining your hardwood floors is a great way to enhance the grain of the timber, refresh an old floor, and give the space a completely new look.
Hardwood floors are very attractive, but floods can completely destroy your investment. Fortunately, floods are not a very common occurrence. If you have pets, on the other hand, you will need to be on the constant lookout for damage from urine and scratches.
Your home’s flooring is both a practical and aesthetic element to your home’s design that adds to the comfort and style of any room. But with so many flooring materials to choose from, you can narrow down your options by simply considering your specific needs.
Your kitchen floor, in addition to complementing the interior design style of your home, needs to be easy to clean and durable, as well. The floor you choose has to be practical considering that it has to stand up regular spills and stains, withstand lots of foot traffic, and make a great statement while doing it.
FloorScore certification is awarded to flooring that has met the indoor air quality (IAQ) requirements. Considering that you spend most of your time indoors, having poor air quality can adversely affect your health.
Many people don’t realize that a good number of flooring materials release toxic amounts of VOCs - volatile organic compounds - in the air. Substances such as dust, allergens, and formaldehyde emissions are potentially carcinogenic. To keep all the occupants safe, it is critical that you only purchase FloorScore certified flooring materials for your home, office, or other building.
Luxury WPC vinyl is one of the fastest growing trends in floor covering options that will become increasingly popular over the next several years, or until the next innovation. It is different from the previously popular luxury vinyl tile (LVT) in that it also offers ease of installation and waterproof capabilities, making it an obvious choice for consumers.
The abbreviation “WPC” stands for Wood Plastic Composite, though some people use it in reference to the characteristic “Waterproof Core” that gives luxury WPC vinyl tiles and planks their unique properties.

Luxury WPC Is Different from Traditional Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT).
The main difference is that Luxury WPC is waterproof and can go over most subfloors without much preparation. Traditional vinyl floors are flexible and any unevenness in the subfloor will transfer through the surface. Compared to traditional glue-down LVT or solid-locking LVT, Luxury WPC products have a distinct advantage because the rigid core hides subfloor imperfections. In addition, the rigid core allows for longer and wider formats. With Luxury WPC, it is not necessary to worry about the preparation Luxury WPC would require for use over cracks and divots in concrete or wooden subfloors.
